Portal cranes cannot lift heavy objects in the following ten cases:

(1) Overload is not lifted; that is, when the weight of an object exceeds the load of a gantry crane, it cannot be lifted;

(2) The light is dim and the weight is unknown;

(3) The slings and accessories are not tied tightly and do not meet the safety requirements; the lifting objects should be fixed firmly to avoid falling in the middle;

(4) The lifting of heavy objects by gantry cranes is not suspended when they are directly processed; the lifting of heavy objects cannot be processed, and if they are to be processed, they should be landed.

(5) Skew pulling and skew hanging are not suspended; if the goods to be lifted are not placed neatly and correctly, the driver can not operate the gantry crane.

(6) There is no suspension of moving objects on the workpiece or on the workpiece; when there are moving objects on the workpiece, there will be a great potential safety hazard, and the gantry crane can not be operated at this time.

(7) Oxygen cylinders, acetylene generators and other explosive materials are not suspended; explosive materials have potential safety hazards.

(8) The objects with edges and corners and blocks have not been padded properly (to prevent the wear and tear of the wire rope or cut off) without suspension;

(9) Objects buried underground are not lifted without taking measures; objects buried underground cannot be lifted because of many unknown circumstances.

(10) If the command signal is not clear and the command is not suspended in violation of regulations, the driver should strictly observe the command when operating the gantry crane.
